A before and after

I hope everyones staying nice and tosty cause its been pretty chilly here lately. Today was a really nice day and I didn't have any sessions scheduled so I toook my daughter out for a short valentines session!




I have really been debating showing off a before and after shot so everyone can see what truely goes into my photography, Its not all just about pointing and clicking, its about creating an image you will want to hang on your wall for years!




Now I'm not saying its not about getting really great results from the beginning, because a lot goes into creating the shot. I always have my end result in my head before I ever even take the shot. You really want to get the best results possible Straight out of your camera. Then just adjust the little things to really make your photo's POP!

This is with basic processing that I do to all my sessions, Adjust the whitebalance if it needs it, clean up any blemishes, and sharpen it, It really makes the difference and turns an okay portrait into an amazing one!

My New Year!!

First off I wanted to say thanks to all my followers and I hope to make this new year a much more exciting experience here on my blog.

I haven't recieved a single entrance for my contest and I'm slightly bummed about that cause I really wanted to start getting give aways like this more popular, but maybe everyone's just still in the new year rush.

I've been pretty slow so far this year and thinking of lots of things to do to get out and reach out to my community. I want to do something to give back to everyone, but I just can think of what to do exactly. I have been seeing some great photographer friends of mine giving back to the earthquake victims in Haiti by donating half of every session fee...I think this is such a great cause and would LOVE to do something like this as well....or maybe donate half to a local orginazations. I would love everyones feedback on what cause they would like to see their money go towards and I think all of Febuary I will be doing this, if its a big sucess I may continue this and donate every month to a different chairty or cause.

Sorry guys I don't have anything exciting to show you this time, my daughter has had the croup and its been rough for her!!! Over a week of sickness and it was aweful!

On a positive note, within the next 3-4 months I will have a full time studio opened in Altus, I will no longer have my home studio!!!! This has been long overdue and finally it looks like it will really happen for me!! I can't wait, and i'm sure my regular clients will love it just as much with me! Thank you so much to all of my new and old clients without ya'll my passion would have never taken off like it has!

This Fall

So, again I fail at keeping my blog updated. Thats okay though cause this time it was for a good reason! I have been Super busy with sessions!!!

I have gotten to meet some great families, and work with some families that keep coming back to me. It has been so much fun and such a blessing to get to meet everyone! Well here are a few shots from some of my favorites! A few of these you have seen before, but what can I say, great families like these deserve to be posted twice :)

Business is great!

So finally business is definately picking up! I just have to keep thanking God for all he has blessed me and my family with. And my business and WONDERFUL clients are definately one of my best blessings! I had such a great October, now were on to November and I can only hope it goes just as well!

Update on what I've been up to

So I don't know why, but it is so hard for me to keep this thing updated, i guess mostly because I never get any sort of response to it, so I don't know if people are even reading it LOL...but I have been up to quite a bit since my last post

Miss Aubrey is now 1 and I think the idea of that has gone to her head...she has suddenly became such a little terror. However, no matter how crazy she acts I sure do love my little munchie.

Business is slowely but surely starting to pick up!!! WOOO HOOO...I have 5 booked sessions on my calander right now and for me that is GREAT!! I am so excited about it.

I got out this week and did a small fall shoot of my baby girl so I thought I would share that with you. Please leave me some feedback! that way I know i'm not just talking to myself out here in cyber land! THANKS!!!
